Katana and Predator shafts comes with a protective sleeve/sock for their shafts.
I`m wondering if these are available separate?
It seems like a great way to minimize chalk residue in the case.

I like the socks too.
My reason has nothing to do with chalk, could care less, but because they all cue movement in the case.
However once I discovered hosiery I never bothered with the fancy cue specific stuff.
Look it up on Amazon it's very cheap. 10 bucks will get you several pair. Then just cut it to length.
Naturally this isn't worth it if your only concern is chalk but if your cue rattles this works like a charm.

Forget the sock, get these if you are concerned about chalk.

Pretty pricey for bolt protectors. You can pretty much find those by the handful anywhere.

I wouldn't want to be wrestling those on and off the end of my tip. With me, somehow those will end up on the bottom of my case.

Go to a fabric shop, pick out some nice black material and take it to a seamstress with one shaft. They will whip you up some shaft socks probably for the same price that you could find them anywhere else. Most likely less actually.

Probably have them back in one day

I take my stuff to a Chinese guy in town. To watch him work with a sewing machine is amazing.

Yeah your right, thats probeably the quickest and cheapest way to go about this.
Since I`m not alone in looking for this product maybe there is a market for shaft socks?

You could be very well right about that Kim.

I got my Buddy a pretty decent deal on 2 Z shafts. They came with the shaft socks. He just slips them into the case tube. Works great. I don't know if the draw strings would be necessary at all.

One of out members, Suzi Q makes little shaft condoms that look pretty good.
They just fit over the tips and a little ways down. I think they would lend themselves well to working in a box case but you might run the risk of losing these on the bottom of your case tubes.

I bought a couple of Butter Fly cases. The flaps that cover the ends of the butts and shafts weren't wide enuff to cover everything. I found the exact same material at a fabric shop and took everything into my Chinese seamstress. By the end of the day, I had a case mod that worked 100%.

You'll find a nice material. All they will do is cut the material to your shaft dimension.

Zip a seam all the way around except for the top and turn it inside out. Instant sock.

You could even speed up the process by cutting the material yourself, go a for a quick beer and they will be done.
