Where do the most serious pool players live, or go to looking for good competition?

It gets harder every day to fi.d places that have action.
If you want to watch ,find the best honest player you can, and stake him in some 30 to 50dollar sets. better yet, play yourself
There are no free rides in this game. The derby city classic is gping on ,thats as good as it gets, good luck

We can play for whatever you want kid....

If you ever come up to NYC, I'll take the 7 and out and the breaks and we can play for whatever you want....

Stupid question

Sorry Im a younger player and I'm not certain on all the action phraseology. So here's a stupid question
Does giving someone the 7 out mean that as soon as the make the 6 the game is over or that if they make the seven or nine during the game it's over?

here's how it works....

The 7 and out means I can win by calling the pocket for the 7 and 8, whether I run the rack or play a combination. Of course if someone gives you the 7 and out wild, make sure you empty his bank account.....lol

Do you (or anyone else here) know if that 24 hour pool hall in Crystal City, MO is still open? I am 32 now, and I think that I was around 17 the last time I was there, so it has been a long time since I was there. I forget the name of the pool hall, but it was a great place to go to find action (even though I always lost all my money every time I went there, lol). Many very strong players hung out there (like Pat McMillan for example). I really miss that place. Very nice pool hall.

Ride the rail has been closed for about a year Brenden was talkin about either Hillsboro Billiards or Kenny's Bar and Grill.

I just left a local tournament at Rascals in Spartanburg SC...there were 27 people in the tournament (despite the 25 degree weather and an freezing rain today) and I saw at least 10 that would rank B to A. Tommy T's across town has similar action on Friday's...both places having 8 (I think) bar boxes and a 9ft.

You can get action in this town if you want it.

That is cool. I love South Carolina, and would love to go back there.
