I saw the ABP logo put up as a sponsor for the 14.1 tournament at Steinway's and other Steinway tournaments in the last few weeks. If there is know membership fee how do they get enough money to sponsor tournaments? Or is this another ABP/CW BS job? Johnnyt

In most industries it's common to become a "sponsor" by helping promote the event or provide other non-cash value.

It seems the ABP just sticks their name to the side of any existing tournament that they are nice enough to allow their members to play in and somehow it turns into an ABP tournament instead of whatever it used to be. Part of the "ABP Tour" you know
