Where have all the second shafts gone?

Where are they? Every other listing should be for a shaft by itself no butt. Who is hoarding all the second shafts?

I have noticed cues sell with two sometimes three shafts, then relisted a few years later with only one shaft...what happened to the other two shafts? Something nefarious is going on.

A lot of cues ordered today, are without shafts because the customer plays with an after market shaft. Some Cue makers are optional on this.

one.. you dont get much more for extra shafts when you sell.

two.. many keep the extra shafts for their own playing cues and sell the worst shaft with the cue.

Back when a shaft was $100 you could afford several.
Now that shafts are $400-$600 it is a tougher question.
