Where is Earl hitting the CB?

looks like high left to me.
Yes. It is easy to tell by what the cue ball does. It goes forward -- it must have follow. It spins to the right off the near rail -- it must have left side spin. Everyone who knows how to play position should be able to see that on their own. It's all really pretty simple. Watch the cue ball.

There is the problem that many players never hit the ball far enough off center to get any real spin on it. For them, Earl's cue ball will appear to be magic.

That is the thing, the action of the CB looks like it is top spin with english, but from the video it looks like he is hitting it like a draw shot, well, at least to me it looks like that.

Thanks for the clarification...

Looks like he's dropping his elbow before contact. When you bend your knees like that, and if you want your cue to be level, there's a risk of banging your grip hand into the rail --- and from experience, that really hurts. I don't know if he realizes it or not, but he's starting out at a slight angle but then the elbow drop after he clears the rail levels the cue just before impact.

This is funny since I've always thought Earl was one of those players that played with unnecessary cue elevation. Here he says he plays with a level cue. 😄

Still fun watching him spin his rock.

Yes, I've noticed his elevated cue also. With this particular shot, I think he starts with a slightly elevated cue and then the elbow drop levels off the cue during his stroke.

It may be sometimes.

He lines up the shot with the cue tip aimed at the bottom of the ball and then raises the tip when he actually shoots, so it will usually look like he is going to draw the ball, regardless of what he does.
