Where to buy a snooker cue?

Elite Snooker cues (by Action) recently appeared on several online retailers pages, ie.

They are very reasonably priced $20-$50. Does anyone know what quality they are and how they play?

I'd be interested to see how they play, they do seem very inexpensive. The last snooker cue I bought was a Powerglide Executive back in 1992, cost me about 120 pounds & that was with a discount! I loved that cue, used it for everything, pool & snooker. Wish I still had it.:(

Good snooker cues are expensive, no doubt. I have been eyeing a Peradon Century, which seems to be a fairly popular cue. It's probably considered a mid-level cue and it sells for 99 pounds in England. The big advantage is that it allows butt extensions (6" is even included), which I am not sure is the case for the Action Elite cues. However for $25 I think I will try one of the Elite's. It's hard to beat the price...

I actually have a really nice ash cue, extension and case for sale if anyone is interested, please PM me, thanks.

pooldawg has some riley snooker cues for sale, they accept the smart extension too. otherwise in the US, you can only really find the elites and scorpions. you can find a dufferin occasionally too. otherwise you have to have it shipped from england.
the thing about the elites is that they come with a 'proprietary' tip, which i suspect could mean cheap and crappy. i'd cut it off probably and put on an elkmaster or blue diamond.
