Where to find this Cue???

Hello everyone, just joined the forum, been playing for a few years with a Predator shaft on a sneaky pete. I was looking to pic up a "Cognisate" ( I'm sure I've butchered the spelling), however my search has turned up nothing. They had very large tapered shafts and had a very solid hit to them with very little deflection.

Not sure if they are still made, could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks, Cory

Hi Cory

Welcome to AZ

It's Cognoscenti Cues and they are made by Joe Gold of Chicago.

This is one resource for the cues you're looking for.

I'm not familiar with who on here would have them or know more about them but I'm sure there will be more people giving you information.

Hope this helps your search.

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much Kevin!
Anyone playing with these as of late, feel free to let me know what you think.

No problem..you can also go to the wanted/for sale section and search.. There have been a few that popped up in the last month. There's even one up in the raffle section right now.

Joey Gold builds them and they are known for their stiffer shafts and slightly more flexible handles.

Lol, this is the first time that I've ever heard of a Cog shaft being referred to as low deflection.
They are shorter (28-1/2") and yes, stiffer.
Not a good recipe for L/D.

The one I shot with a few years back was one of the beefiest/stiffest Ive ever hit with, the exact opposite of a Muecci if that helps you visualize.

Have you ever played with one?

What was your opinion.

Im currently bidding on one now.

The Cog is a very nice cue and yes, they are very stiff (or beefy if you prefer). They are very consistent in their hit/play. A well made cue.

My opinion is that it's the perfect 1 pocket cue.
