this is my last night in philly, does anybody know any good pool halls within a half hour from the airport? also, whats the name of mika's room? i think thats pretty close. thanks, joey

You can try either Drexeline Billiards or Tacony Billiards. I can't think of the name of Mika's room right now but I think thats by Valley Forge if i'm not mistaken correct me if I'm wrong. Hope this helps some.

Mika's Pool Room - "Planet Pool"

As you're going down 422 West from the Valley Forge Convention Center, home the Super Billiards Expo, take the next exit AFTER Phoenixville. Stay to the right on the exit ramp and go to the second traffic light and make a left on Ridge Road. About 2 miles up on the right, you will see a huge red building, and Mika's pool room named Planet Pool is located on the second floor.

Mika's website is http://www.mikaimmonen.com

which room would be best suited for serious players... mikas, or tacomy?

Drexeline is about 15 minutes from the airport.
Tacony is about 25 or so.
Planet Pool is about 40 minutes from Drexeline. It's the furthest.

Serious in what way....players or quality of equipment?

During the day, Tacony is a serious room with action going on all over. I never go over there at night. On weekends i think they bring in a DJ, but the back bar area is separated from the tables, so I'm not sure how noisy it would get.

Drexeline is serious play all the time, but more kids will be hanging out than players.

It's a shame you waited so long to ask. You really have to check out Tacony during the daytime and watch all the one pocket action.
