I am going to Stamford, CT for work for a month. I was curious where the best place to play is and if there are any AZer's that want to hit some balls?

Same question for Albany/Schectady? I will be there on the weekends for the next month.

In the Greater Albany area, you must visit Golden Cue on Central Avenue. Rocky's completely redone the room over the past year. In Latham, Diamond Eight Billiards has Gandy Big "G"s and bar boxes. There is a new room in Amsterdam featuring Diamond Smart tables. Don't know the name. Pro Billiards in Rotterdam is closed. Enjoy the area.

I've been to Rack n Roll in Stamford. Nice room. Be prepared for New York City prices to play. I seem to remember $15.00 per hour for one player.

I don't know about $15 per hour, but yeah, it's damn close but I don't remember breaking the bank just to play. And if your like me, they do have afternoon practice for a flat rate of $10. It's not like you have a lot of choices if you are in that particular area, as everything is expensive.

I dont know how well you know the area but Stamford is less than 1 hour from the city. Good train service every day.

I hadn't been to the Golden Cue in Albany in well over 10years. Was back in Albany a couple of weeks ago and stopped in, place looks great all redone. Rocky is a class act and runs a nice room.

Good luck.
