Where to play in Tahoe?

Sadly Pool is not big in Lake Tahoe, Gambling, Rafting, Flyfishing, but not much pool. Bill's Casino had (2) Coin Op, Tables a couple of years back iin the Bar Area.
There are few a places I went to that a few 9' tables. I usually stay here and they have a very old 9' table in a very fair condition. Just take your own cues:

I was just there last week in Tahoe City. I found a place called Pete and Peters that had two 4 X 8 tables and some friendly folks. No action to be found though.

Pete's is fun. I grew up in Tahoe City and played there a couple of times (even though I was underage). South Tahoe has more options, but still limited. The bowling alley in Incline Village (North Tahoe) had a bunch of big tables....but I haven't been there in years.
I got the chance to meet Peter and he told me about how he became attracted to the Tahoe area, 50 years ago! He explained that he never regretted moving to such a beautiful place.He ended up buying me a couple of beers and I later put on a display of trick shots for the local folks. Haven't been to South Lake Tahoe in quite a few years, but there used to be a place with 9' tables at the "Y" in a little commercial center.....Darned if I can remember the name of it, but if you know where the fork is, that they call the "Y", I'm sure you could ask around there.....

I'm going from SF up to South LT next weekend. I'd love to know if someone comes up with any places. Otherwise, I'll report back on what I find, including the shopping center at the Y.
Just for the record and archives in case anyone searches.
South Lake Tahoe - Ceasers Palace no longer exists. It's now the Montbleu. I didn't get to see if there were still tables in the Sports Bar. Bill's has three tables - decent condition. I played one that seemed very short off the rails. Just south on the west side of the blvd, a block from harveys is Mr P's Irish Pub. There were two bar boxes there at odd off angles to each other. To give you an idea, it was crowded, and my wife and I were the only one's there. The pool tables are so so close, and in so near the drink tables and stools, and the walls, that if a fly entered the room, you'd have to say, "Excuse me".
I did a quick drive by the Y - The concierge guy at our hotel said there is a place in the shopping center on the right as you head from SLT to Camp Richardson, called Cuesports. As I drove through, I noticed that one shopping center was DOA. Driving past the other nearby shops and shopping center, I didn't see any sign or anyplace obvious.
When I got home and did a google search, turns out the name is Classic Cue, and the guy gave me the wrong directions. Apparently they don't have a web site that I could find but here's the info:

Hope that helps. I only played three games all weekend. And with the two games at Bills, I spent half the time waiting for players on other tables get their asses off of my table while they shot.

It's only an hour to Reno and lots of places to play. There is also a place in Carson City.Poolfiend said:

Dark room.... at night... when it is -5 degrees outside... damn right I'd be playing pool:grin:
