That's going to have to be around a few more years before I buy into that. Here is why I asked:
1. Last year Ko Pin Yi wins the Worlds, Albin Ouschan wins the China Open. Everyone here says KP Yi is "the best in the world", until he came over here and had his azz handed to him tournament after tournament.
2. This year Ouschan wins the Worlds, Wu wins the China Open & suddenly Wu is "the best in the world".
Seems many here are overly impressed with Chinese/Taiwanese players without reason.
I am not sure if this is a serious post or not. Here are some stats for Wu.
2002 Taiwan National Youth, Champion
2002 Taiwan National Pro Tour, 3rd place
2004 WPA Juniors World Nine-Ball Championship, 2nd place
2005 WPA World Nine-ball Champion
2005 WPA World Eight-ball Champion
2006 World Pool Masters Tournament, Semi-finalist
2006 World Nine-ball Championship, quarter-finalist
2007 All Japan Championship, Champion
2008 World Ten-Ball Championship, 2nd place
2011 All Japan Championship, 2nd place
2013 China Open, 3rd place
2015 WPA World 9 Ball Championship, Semi-finalist
Notice he won two world championships at the age of 16 in 2005 and almost won another at age of 17. I read somewhere that he didn't play much if any from 2009 to 2013 due to having leukemia. He is only 27 now.
He has been one of the best for the past 10 years.
