Where's the proof?

This isnt a new version of trolling folks, its the same ol' same ol'.
Start posts that question peoples integrity. Step two is to play the victim, then step 3, blame everybody else and proclaim that the forum sucks.

That about sum it up? I think so.......

I don't usually respond to temper tantrums, but here goes:

1) all posts on this forum are "opinions", nothing more, nothing less.
2) I don't recall ever intentionally trying to belittle anyone, and certainly not you.
3) of course pool players, like all people, are dishonest from time to time
4) I like 14.1 and would happily watch any 300+ ball run
5) I was on topic with my post, given that some people will "puff up" their high runs (and some don't) I sincerely wondered why you asked for "proof"?......Its our choice to size-up someone's credibility and decide whether we believe them or not, simple as that (imho)

6) lastly, lighten up, its thanksgiving season :D

Michael I hear what you're saying and it all makes sense now but that's not how people come across when the post, I mean look at Chuck now.
We know that it's all opinions but again some come across like only theirs matter, the belittle thing was more general, I read your question as "who the hell are you to ask" since you didn't add anything else to the sentence.
It's a whole different ball game if people said "hey, there is no actual video of it as was the case with mosconi but we take johns word for it, here is a link to him running X if you interested", but that is not what happens here.

One always has to deal with all the crap and hope that someone comes along that can offer some help or input to their question or concern, I guess it's all just getting really old. Guess that what happens when you set the bar too high for a forum that's suppose to adult.

You sir and mr michael are what's wrong. As another thread has pointed out you guy make it your business to come out "with your opinion of what something is" and try to belittle a person. Well you can take your opinions and shove it up your asses.

@michael: why I want to know? well for starts since when pool players are the most honest players and next maybe someone would like to SEE an actual 300+ ball run
@scott: you too sir can go with that as a "respected" person in the community. "I" am tired of the fact that every time an amateur player calls into question something that happened that they don't know about guy like you come out and down them all for what "you" think they meant, THAT sir is where the quality of the forum is declining.

How about approaching someone like another person and oh I don't "ask" "hey, what made you ask that question, you don't believe him or wanted to see it for educational purposes" but no the first words out of you so called know it all is "I know exactly what this person meant and i'm going to call them out on it"

This forum suck, you guys can keep your clan/union mentality. And again, to you, michael and those who come after if you don't have something to add to a thread regardless of what you think or how you feel just leave it alone.

Are you nipping at the sauce ?? Scott is a first class guy he's what's right in pool and this forum we need more Scott's not less , Iv met him took a lesson from him that went double the time at no extra cost ,I would recommend him to anybody
You really should do a little thinking before you beat on someone like him
Might be s reason why your a 7 for life

Schmidt has a videotaped *366-ball run* witnessed by Bill Maropolus. (You won't find anyone more creditable than Marop.) The DVD of the excellent run (with fine commentary by Bill is available here:

https://www.seyberts.com/assorted-dvd/john-schmidt-mr.-400-straight-pool-dvd-series-volume-4/

Would it snap your mean-spirited mind, 7forlife, to imagine that a guy who runs 366 has also, in fact, run 400 several times in front of witnesses?

Geez, young man, isn't there enough war in the world already?

Arnaldo

Listen, I understand were you are coming from now try to understand where I am.

I am not saying that he's trash, that would be a false statement on my behalf. He has nothing but good testimonials on here to back him up, and I understand you defending your friend but, the point in how a person is approached on here.

There are countless people who (a) read and move on (b) browse, I am sure that more people don't post here because of how quickly someone gets slapped down on here. It only take a second for their question to be turned into the Cuban missile crisis, so why would they post. People need to be taken more seriously on here rather than assume one knows what they are trying to say.

A thread was started asking about why there is so much hate on here, that's not by accident, knowledgeable players should be able to come on here with no fear and have their question answered and learn something not have someone take their question "or tone" out of context. This is the point about your friend Scott Lee, you want to defend him fine but see that his approach was strictly speculatory and uncalled for.

You could of ended at the link and there would be no war now would there, your contribution is duly noted. (thanks for the link)

I ran 51 and 52 as my two high runs. No one saw me, but I know I did it. Others have seen me run in the 30s or 40s a few times, so for John to run 400 in practice seems feasible since he has run two or three hundred with people watching many times.

Johnny Archer never played much straight pool and practiced for a week before a tournament and ran over 200 balls. He ran out and they told him to keep going. So a national class pro like John who devoted himself to 14.1 should hit those 300 to 400 ball runs in their lifetime.
