So I have 2 pieces that could work for the butt sleeve part of a wrapless cue. One piece is nicely spalted with grayish hues, and the other one seems to match the handle & forearm better, but looks a lot like maple burl..........Believe it or not, all the pieces were cut from the same burl cap.
All the wood is professionally stabilized, (completely impregnated)....
Which one would you pick?
(I know I could get 2 cues out of the wood if I went with a wrap but I'm not a big fan of wraps, or inlays, or points .....
