I have played pool off and on for around 10 years, went a few years without playing but have started playing alot again the last few months. My current cue is a Viking G03 that I bought many years ago without really knowing what to buy. This is the cue.

I really like the way it shoots but it has a warp when I roll it and some dings in the shaft and in the lower butt I can see and feel a crack about an inch long. So now I am looking at getting something else, dont have alot of money to spend about 200 bucks and I just want to get some info on what might be good. I have researched and it seems Mcdermott are decent cues that come with a lifetime warranty against warpage. I also know viking went out of business but can still find their cues still in stock online for decent prices.
I really dont have anywhere near I can go and test cues out, atleast an hours drive away so I probably will be "buying blind". Any info or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Also will be looking for a 3x5 case I guess for 60-70 bucks if there are any decent ones out there, would like one that the butt will insert either way so I can stand my sticks up in it when not in use, any recommendations on those also are welcome. Thanks.
