When you perform spin on your ball, do you use your front hand to adjust or your back hand? A few months ago I noticed a thread about backhand english. Since then I have watched what people generally use when adjusting and noticed about 50 % will adjust their front hand and 50 % use move their backhand. Just curious what the average is for AZB.
 
i would say back hand. i have noticed alot of players in the apa league i play in kind of twist the wrist on their back hand when applying side spin...especially inside english.

yes...but if we always searched and didn't get new insight...nothing would get posted on this forum. I'm sure if all we did was treat the forum like google, we could learn everything without posting, but it's better to get new insight. If I went off of what people had to say about certain things 6 months ago versus today, the sport would never grow. This is why I mentioned the "Backhand English" thread. Since that thread has come out, I'm curious how many more people have tried different things.

eh... I don't use either backhand or fronthand english...

I just aim normal at the cueball where I am going to hit it, and if I hit it where I am aiming I get the spin I want, the ball drops and I get position for the next. It happens quite often too

i agree with this. twisting would seem like you would miss more.

I also get down on shot without adjusting front or back hand. My cue comes across the line natural. It is the same as getting down and then moving the front had though. I don't use a pivot point like backhand english does and I don't notice my cue being at a different angle than CB path. I just focus on tip placement on CB and aiming at the OB.

I'm not saying don't post. If people want to rehash, they will rehash. If they don't, the thread will fade away. No big deal.

You mentioned a thread about BHE, but I figured you never saw the poll because you were curious what the average is for AZ. So I posted an answer. It doesn't mean you can't discuss further or even start another poll if you want. It's just a piece of the puzzle.

Either way, I like posting links to old threads in the new threads. It helps the board because it cross-references similar threads. :)
