For a 1x2 tube case, you won't find any better than an Engles. Not cheap, but they are all hand-made in the US by one guy that's been making them a long time. They also probably offer the best protection from crushing. How are Engles cases? Started to look into them earlier this year but got sidetracked. Looking for a nice 1x2.
Have a beautiful 3x5 Whitten but want one smaller.

Why a butterfly case? Is that because you got tired of trying to jam your cues into a JB Rugged? I started with a JB Rugged, and I like the outside pockets on a JB Rugged, but now I prefer a tube style case where the inside of the tubes are padded. It's so much easier to load and unload cues and shafts. I wonder what the tubes are like on a Whitten? Do the tubes have any padding on the inside? Would that be accomplished by lining the tubes with a thick material?Just received this today and the craftsmen ship was everything I expected it to be! Everything went perfect in the process. I didn’t go with leather because I didn’t want the up keep and thought it would be heavier. Not shown in the picture I got the little Velcro dividers in the long pocket so your stuff doesn’t roll around. One of those little jb custom things he thinks of I feel should be in more cases. It just makes sense. On a side note I thought he was making his cases outside the country so I was surprised when it was shipped from Oklahoma City. Not that it made a difference to...

In case your interested my review of the case I just got
I’ve been using butterfly cases for years. To me they are lighter and don’t hurt my skinny ass shoulders as much when I’m walking around at tournaments lolWhy a butterfly case? Fellini had a commercial of his case being run over by a car,I recallYup.
Back around 1990 I was in a high speed car accident on a highway. My chemistry professor was in the same accident, we were both on the way to the university that morning. My car was totaled and I was taken to the hospital. My Joss was in the back seat in a Fellini case. My car was taken to the wrecker yard, I went to see it. No cue.
Later, maybe a week, I was back at school and went to my professor's office. He said he saw the case, didn't know what it was, but it looked important, so he took it and kept it for me. He pulled it out from under his desk. I was stunned, and elated of course. I showed him what was in it. He had heard I played pool with one of the biology professors but he was still surprised. He had not opened it and had no idea what was in that case.
The cue and case were fine. Same cue and case I have today.
Someone did. Not likely Fellini. They are plastic.Fellini had a commercial of his case being run over by a car,I recall![]()
