I’ve decided to buy a Littman Light for my 9’ table. My current 2 LED flat panels, total 2x8, flood my entire basement with to much light. I want the light on the table. The problem is that they have 4 recommended lights. Which one is best for a home table? Money is not an issue but the lights are kind of pricey so I want to do this only once. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can not speak for a 9' table, but I have the 5" x 1" Aluminum over my 7' Diamond and it is awesome. As you can see from my pics, there is ample light over the edge of the table to accommodate another 1' around the table. I don't think you can not go wrong with any of these lights. For a 9', I would choose the 1x8 aluminum as I prefer the simpler look. The light quality for all will be excellent.

Also the diffusers on these lights work well. The light is very much projected down so the whole room is not bathed in light. You never see the bulbs while looking across the table which is great on the eyes.

I would recommend the 7x2 for a 9 foot table. I have the 6x2 for my 8 foot diamond. The 7x2 was the choice if I had a 9 foot table.

Best light ever, diffusers work great, light never gets in your eyes. Plus, it comes with bulbs and wiring complete, unlike a Diamond light, which costs more. When I played at the BCA Nationals two years ago, all of the lights were Littman.

I really dislike the square shaped lights with no diffusers. They reflect off the balls and I find that distracting.

Nice to see Litman has diffusers!!!

Before I chose my light I asked the Mfg to show me how well it would cover the whole table. Of course I was most concerned with extreme edges & corners.

They sent me a few maps with brightness #'s (forget the term) with various distances from the table.

The BCA has a spec requirement for tournament lighting..
