which portable pool cue holder is safe to not dent my new bought baby

Get one of the leather ones that many of the vendors carry. It's sort of pear shaped when it's folded up. The entire outer casing is leather, it's weighted just like others. No chance of plastic being nicked up and eventually scratching or scoring your cue. No metal to worry about. All leather.

I have been through a LOT of cue holders, and my favorite one to date to hold a single cue is a Cue Dude Portable Cue Caddy. It is made entirely of rubber, is easily packable, and fits just about any table or bar edge, since it is flexible. Best of all...they are very affordable...but are getting harder and harder to find. They don't look like much in the packaging, but they really work, and will never mar your cue in any way.

You mean a place to lean your cue? If so I love my q-claw. Stays in place, easy to carry, and all rubber so there is nothing to damage a cue.

I have a box full of different cue holders and the one that I use the most is Q-Claw. No moving parts, very easy to customize so I can identify mine from others on league night.

I suggest one on these...though you should really have a pair.
