Which production cue maker would you buy from?

The big four all are fine. McDermott, Meucci, Joss and Schmelke.
How about Hightower Cues.... Never saw or played with one but if looks could kill they are a mass murderer. If they play the way they look fogetaboutit. If they as good as your lathes (and I'm sure they are) they are something special.

I could not be happier with my Viking. They actually offer 4 different joint configurations so you get the hit and feel you prefer. Standard is a 13mm tip but they can turn that all the way down to about as small as you like. They offer a myriad of tips to choose from. Their styles are pretty varied so you can find something as plain, or as ornate as you like. I also own a J. Flowers with CF shaft that I really like. I bought the 20-21 with leather wrap and abalone inlay. You can spend a good bit less for a standard cue, but you can't beat the upscale ones for beauty and function.

Please respond and let us know what you finally decide to buy!

V pro or Vikore shaft?

My Viking has a standard Vpro shaft. Haven't ever played one of the others. Also use a G2 m tip I have been very pleased with. It truly plays soft and old school. My J Flowers CF plays with MUCH less deflection but contrary to many here, I see that as only different, not necessarily better.

The only thing I would change if I had it to buy over is it would have had a 11.75mm tip instead of the 13. I have grown to like the smaller tip over time.
