Question to the cue makers, if you were not making cues, Which production cue manufacturer would you buy from? You can name several outfits...

Mezz and Joss is the best production cues in my opinion and it's brands I seldom see any problems with. I'm a Viking dealer too and they make nice cues, but not quite the same fit and finish as Mezz, but considering the pricing it's to be expected.

I currently play with a Joss. 12.5mm standard Joss shaft. It has the metal joint and a wrap. I am wanting to go back to a no wrap cue. Viking has there black no wrap with the V pro shaft or I can get a Joss sneaky. I have never played with a Viking. How do they compare? hit wise, balance, feel, etc?

Viking have a softer hit, implex joint instead of stainless steel. Viking cues are on the thick side about 33mm at the buttcap. There's an option to order a slim variant, then it's about 31mm.
Have you looked at Mezz? They have some nice wrapless models.

In no particular order Mezz, Predator, Jacoby, Those are the three I can say I have owned or tried many of, Id even say entry level players cues shot pretty good and close to a mcdermott "hit" The softer hitting of the three first listed I would say are Jacoby, they just don't hit crisp or stiff enough for me.

Wtf? Predator cues are pencil thin. I've been searching for cues with fat butts, but I thought all production cues were anorexic runway models. Where you been all my life??!
