If you're asking me - the Hall Effect that I replaced with the potentiometer is intended as a pedal control. The motor comes with rods to connect to a physical pedal.

What are you using for RPM readings? You may not have it connected to a headstock but when you do, what do you plan on using to get your readings. I need to do this with my Consew! Thanks for posting.

I can see you have a readout on your electronic device of the sewing machine motor but I meant the rpm of your headstock. Isn’t that the most important reading?

You can stick a paper circle behind the potentiometer and mark the rpm's on that.
