Which Snooker book(s) YOU think is the best??
Which Snooker book is your most favorite ?

I've read no more than half a dozen books on snooker. My overall favorite so far is the first one I bought: Joe Davis's Complete Snooker for the Amateur.
Frank Callan's Snooker Clinic has good advice. I like Teach Yourself Snooker by John Spencer & Clive Everton--it's inexpensive and short.
How about you?
I have actually never read a snooker book competely. I play pool only. But I DO admire those snooker players who have very consisent and solid fundamentals. So I was wondering if I could learn something for my pool game from Snooker.
Althought I only play pool, but my fundamentals basically all learning from Snooker such as my open bridge, stance, grip, aiming ..........

Prior to reading it, I played pool but hated snooker (I had been playing for less than a year). My university had a snooker table on campus that was $5 an hour along with 8-10 bar boxes. I would play snooker only because it was the best deal for my money but I disliked the game simply because I couldn't pot many balls at the time on it.
I found On Snooker in the university library and checked it out as I went through pretty much all cue game books they had. It took me the weekend to read and once I was finished I headed back to school and straight to the snooker table. I had no interest in playing pool for the week and after that I enjoyed the occassional game for quite a while. However it wasn't until 1.5 years ago that I switched my focus entirely to snooker.

If you like reading stories about snooker, you might see if you can find a copy of Joe Davis's autobiography, The Breaks Came My Way. In it he writes about his early career, how he bought his cue, his encounters playing Walter Lindrum, and so on.
That's a good one. You can also find Steve Davis's instructional book online.
Do you have a copy of that? There weren't any copies on Amazon or eBay. Copies can be found via www.biblioz.com, though.
