Whippy break cue's?

i'm having a hard time finding a break cue i like. it seems that most manufacturers are going with very beefy shafts.

i've always thought that an break cue with a heavy butt and a flexible shaft would make a good break cue. i remember using an old meucci where the taper was worn thin and it was a little over 21oz, i used to like it because the shaft would really feel like it was compressing and releasing into the ball through impact. To use a golf analogy, it would be a similar feel to getting the shaft loaded up before impact, and released through impact at a golf ball, except of course in pool the feeling occurs throughout the follow through during impact.

Is there anyone out there that uses this combo of a heavier butt and a flexible shaft?

reading the forum's i've heard that SVB's old schon that he broke with was heavy and had a thin shaft. he seemed to break pretty good with that thing. anybody know what the specs on his current break cue are?

IMHO..... forward weighted, stiff shaft, hard tip, same weight as my playing cue.

I don't know the current specs but I do know that Mike Gulyassy has gone to a more flexible shaft. I just purchased one of his Anvil Jump/Break cues and I love it. The cue has an extremely long taper and I love it. I remember the old Sledgehammer break cues with a very stiff shaft and I didn't like it at all, this cue is far superior.... JMO
