Just in case you're interested and for the record, 4 out of the top 6 finishers were over 6 foot tall. I guess the tall guys have an advantage on the bar tables.

No offcial date yet, but judging from the past ones im sure it will be early August. Theyll normally set the date well over a month in a advance.

One of our local guys was betting 24/7, well almost 24/7. They kept closing the place at 2:00 am, worrying about the police shutting them down for being open later than 2:00 am.
White Diamonds should get a special permit from the city to stay open all night on Friday and Saturday night for the big tournament. They might be able to get an exception, you never know......
On second thought, messing with the mixture of this MONSTER CALCUTTA tournament can be considered "pool treason". Besides, I have to get my 3-4 hours of sleep on Saturday night or I may never see money again. What the hell am I talking about? It was a magical weekend and I should be happy having one every ten years or so.

Who was it? I here you on the sleep thing. The first time I ever played in it we didnt go until Saturday Morning. Woke up at 6AM, stopped to eat etc. Checked in the Hotel at 8AM. Got to WD right before 9AM. Watched the Calcutta etc. Played my first match around 5PM, 2nd one was played around 9PM. 3rd was played shortly after. Finally got done with my last match at 3:00AM and had to be back for 8AM to start my next matchm, then around 11AM for my last match(Of which I lost out on). That was a LONG day. The 2nd time I shot in it I learned to sit down more often, and go to the car and relax/nap after a match(If Ashley told us we didnt have to play for a while).
From finally getting to see you play at Jamies place I can say that was no "Lucky Joe" for sure. You play damn good buddy. Cant wait for August since I couldnt make it this time. GREAT FOOD, SERVICE and BEST RUN TOURNY ive ever been too! Chris Miller......."Thats WAYYY TO CHEAP!"

But the winner was about 5'9" i'd say....so the theory is if your 6' or over your odds of placing top ten are tremendous....If your under 5'9 or inbetween 5'9" and 6' then your screwed.

Hell in the summer its so hot your have to play with no shoes on so your feet dont sweat lmao. AC's in places down here are always going down and acting funny
