I have a friend who is an APA league operator and owns his own tables in about 20 locations. His #1 location for pool players had new valley tables -- (1 year old) with Simonis cloth on them. This place is small and cozy and the tables go nonstop from afternoon till closing. Anyway, I had heard about Ridgebacks here, so I wanted to try them out. I called Kerry and he shipped a set to me. Rather than put them on a junk table where anything would have been an improvement, I put them on one of the new valleys in that location. I started recovering the tables on Friday afternoon and finished and left without hitting any balls. I was going to be in town for a few weeks so I knew I would have a chance to come back later and test it out. I went back to the hotel to shower and get ready for the start of their city tournament later Friday night. After I got a break at the tournament and all the matches were running smoothly, I needed to make a phone call. To my suprise I already had three missed calls somehow. Anyway they were all three from different pool players, regulars at that location, calling to thank me for the table work and "fixing" the rails. Needless to say I was suprised at how much of a difference Ridgeback rails made to a table that was new and already played good. I can't wait to put a set on an old POS valley and bring it back from the dead. You won't be dissapointed, but your phone messages might be full!!!!!
