Who’s bought a diamond at the super billiards expo?

A new 9ft Diamond is $8,500 at Seyberts with a 4 to 6 month backorder.
Is there anything special about the tournament tables that make them better?
I’m guessing that the tables are 4 1/4” corners which is an extra $600 so if you get a used one from the tournament it’s probably a decent price and readily available

Just for a point of reference, I ordered my ProAm table in July, and I got it this week. I was very fortunate, because I just got my order in in a narrow window. My distributor ordered the same table the next day or two, and his won’t come in until June. That’s 11 months.. I would think that if you want it quicker, buy it from a tournament if you can. Often times, they’re all spoken for already, especially with today’s backlog. If the cost is just a little bit more than what it would cost if you ordered and waited 6 to 12 months, I think it would be worth it.

I bought a GC4 from SBX years ago. I believe it was about 3500 delivered and set up two hours away. Still looks brand new.

Yep, Mark has it hung up and full of cues :)
Rarest early anniversary/centennial rack I ever saw (1945-1947). Only let that go cuz I moved to a smaller home on the lake. I have a 9 foot diamond in my garage, so don't feel too bad for me. Still I love the old stuff.

I just bought a 9 ft ProAm. $8500. Before I did that, I called Brian Miller at Diamond to ask him about deals at the SBE and he said demand is so high they don't offer tournament discounts anymore. The backlog is one year. The local Diamond dealer here in Florida, Crosbys, told me they had 80 tables on backorder. He also said he could have sold 300 if he could get them. So, no. I could not negotiate any kind of discount. On top of that, I tried to buy a used one on the billiards marketplace on facebook and no one even responded to me offering cash and to come get it.
