Do any of you know which pros are using low deflection shafts, and if so who and what are they using. Would a low deflection shaft be good to use for breaking, would it allow you to get a more accurate hit on the head ball, just wondering.

Landon Shuffett uses a OB shaft; the two Cuetec players that come to mind, Shane Van Boening and Alison Fisher, probably use the R360 shaft.

I've never heard of using an LD shaft to break. To me that sounds like too much.

Don't quote me on it, but I think I remember reading on here that the construction of it won't hold up to continual breaking...

Most of the younger pros in Japan use low deflection shafts, either Predator, Mezz, or Keith-Andy.

LD shaft is useless for breaking, it's designed to be used to allow a straighter aim when using english. If you are breaking, you don't want to use any side spin (except maybe the cut break, but that's still a waste there)..

That's baloney. I've been breaking with my LD shafts (G-Core and Tiger X) for more than a year with no problems whatsoever. You just have to know how to break correctly...it's not a hammer!

LD for breaking....um, BK, BK2, OB Break Cue, and on and on. I use the OB Break cue, and WILL NOT change.
