Who are the best butterfly cue makers

I would have to go with Barenbruge or Fanelli for the top honors, then Mariposa, Klein, Webb,Diveney, and I would love to get my hands on one of Burton Spain's butterfly cues.
Maybe not as overwhelming as some from Fanelli and Dave, but how many have you actually seen out there?
Mike Neal did some pretty clean ones.
Don't really know many other guys besides them off the top of my head....
What about Longoni, DZ (in honor of what's his name...Dukeboy lol), and Andy Gilbert?
Don't hear much about them too much these days...

The Paul Mottey shop has produced some nice ones over the years, too, but not too many. Let's not forget the guys at BBC just after the turn of the 20th century, too.

I'm sure with a few of these guys you mentioned, we might need to make the distinction of "structural butterfly points" vs. butterflys that are cut in as inlays on a pantograph....which aren't structural points. Couple of different ways of looking at it, in my mind at least.

I can't speak as to how they play but Miltonio Cues (Milt Hymen) also makes some gorgeous and very unique butterfly cues

a lot of the best have already been mentioned. I would not be
afraid to take a look at ZAC cues out of Canada.

I picked one up when I was in NY last month- I'm really happy with it, and it's become my player.:)

I was asked the other day to make a cue with overlapping butterfly
points. this isn't my cut of tea.
Interesting (unintentional?) pun.

I only know 4 cuemaker who can
do this correctly. altough there are a lot of wantabe's and bignames out there who think you just can glue on sum veneers and cut a point over the veneers. there missing the boat. so if you really want a real butterfly cue you should contact one these guys. Paul Fanelli, Billy Webb, Mariposa cues by Kyle Van den Bosch, Barenbrugge cues
I like your list.

Here is one of my favorites. His name is Andrey Grinev Gorbenko and he is from Russia and is a member of our International Cuemakers Association. Dennis Dieckman liked Andrey and his work so much that he paid for a lifetime membership to the ICA for him. He has shown pictures of other butterfly work that boggles the mind on how it was done, but here is a link to a little about him.

Notice the sharp points coming off of the butterflies.

For those full-splice fans how about mulitple splices with sharp points running both directions.
This gives Recut points a new meaning.

We have all seen this done before, but probably not this extensive.

The Russians (cuemakers) have been doing Butterfly cues for ages.
Yes they have. And although I tend to like the looks of American Butterfly combination with V-Points for my taste. But as a cue maker myself I really believe they are way ahead of the Americans on butterly points as far as how diffcult their designs are to build. Samsara with their unusual gluing methods, like spiderwebs and such, are the only thing I see here that rivals it. And they are two totally different styles. I do think if butterlies were more popular here that the Americans would equal the Russian cues pretty soon as far as butterfly designs go.

Butterfly cues

Mike Neal from Lincoln Ne, also is a great butterfly cue maker. Here is a pic of one, and I have another butterfly of his, but don't have pics right now. You can find a pic of his zipper cue in the blue book. It is a butterfly and the zipper looks as thou it is opening up the butterfly. 156893_10151411386537424_1185127110_n.jpg
