A number of prominent players today have assumed nicknames (e.g., "The Hitman," "Silent Assassin") that are intended to psych out their opponent to some degree. But, in billiards movies and television, intimidation extends well beyond violent monikers. It is in their honor then that I share the TOP 10 BILLIARDS BADDIES OF ALL TIME. Who would you include?

Tough to top Bert in "The Hustler." Actually, the list you've provided is tough to argue with.

In real pro pool, the nicknames that might scare me are:

1. The Black Widow (Jeanette Lee)

2. The Freezer (Scott Frost)

3. The Iceman (Mike Immonen)

4. The Hitman (Thorsten Hohmann)

5. The Irish Invader (Karen Corr)

6. The Leader of the Invasion (Jose Parica)

7. The Cannon (Shannon Daulton)

8. The Scorpion (Johnny Archer)

9. The Rifleman (Buddy Hall)

I love this one you had named -- from Marvel Comics - the Villain 8 Ball:

"Jeff had a gambling problem. He started gambling as a way to get his mind off of his job as a missile propulsion engineer for the Department of Defense, but quickly found himself owing thousands to pool sharks. Eventually, he was fired because his employer was worried he would sell their secrets to pay his debts. Penniless and still owing the sharks, Hagees became 8-Ball to steal the money he owed. "

His cue and pool balls were weapons. I think it's safe to say we will not see a Marvel movie featuring this dubious villain anytime in the near future.
