Sounds cool, and seems like you put a lot of thought in to it. I know several builders who could pull it off & do the design justice (meaning it doesn't look corny), but finding a cue maker willing to do it will be trickier. Manzino would be good choice for it. Maybe Tonkin. Maybe Wayne. I'd imagine Sheldon could do a very fine job with it if you could talk him in to it. I'd think you'll be looking at well over $10G's. It could be done cheaper but by whom? And what would it look like? A creative & intricate design like this will only look great if executed by somebody very skilled & capable, and who will not cheap out on the work. Going cheap on a design like this will ruin it, IMO.

Sounds cool. Eric is right you better save your money and get the right person to do it. Arthur cues i think would be a great person to do it.

Those were the cuemakers that came to me also......i cant say i better...all are very capable of doing it to as close to perfection as possable......gl

I agree with Eric on this one as I was thinking more like 20 grand. (That is not a quote, just a quick guess in today's market.) Wayne and Drexler were the first two that came to mind for me.
I believe this design could be pulled off in my shop and several other shops also, but I would not want the job as it would take too much time, and the weight requirement means the Ivory and Ebony would have to be cored out so thin that I would not be comfortable building it because of future problem possibilities.
This is a great design, but thinking of this cue as a player instead of just a show piece is not practical. Making the items mentioned out of silver and not made out of mother of pearl or some lighter material adds even more weight. So, No I don't think you are Nuts, as your design is great and I would love to see it when finished. But the weight requirement means very thin walls on everything, even the structural parts.
