Who cares about pro pool anyway?

It's only a sign of the promotional state of the game....so much potential, and opportunity, it's only a matter of time before someone "real eyeses" there's a hundred million laying on the "pool table". 'The Game will be the Teacher'

How would you go about selling a vision of boredom to a viewer?
Pool players are only interested in pool when they are playing. When their game is finished they vanish. Top players and league players do the same -POOF- their gone when they are done. When promoters learn that you stage a event around a tournament things will get better. It should be about the show not the players. A no name player can win a big event but top names don't make events. They can only show and participate. Only the few purest know about top pool players, everybody else goes for the party and a story.

Kentucky Derby is an event that stages a horse race.
The Masters is a event that has a golf tournament.
The Super Bowl is a big party that has a football game.

It is fascinating how many times this thread happens here.

Think about it. At least once a week. I wonder if anyone has ever actually learned anything or if we all just keep saying the same things to the same people?

I have a pretty good guess. I wonder what would happen if instead of people writing the same "Whats wrong with pool" post for the 100th time if they took that time and wrote an email to some company that sponsored an event they enjoy saying they noticed their support or to a tv network like Spike/Fox Sports saying you want to see pool content.

I'm sure it wouldnt change a thing but neither will this thread. Again.

The people that need to hear it most and learn something are not on AZB to my knowledge. I did email ESPN and thank them airing the Mosconi Cup last year.

Fortunately there are ways to do this.... more will be revealed slowly, but shirley

The key is, Bill, to create an "Emotional Attachment," with the viewer. Right now this is not being done at all......without creating emotion in the viewing public it's a lost cause.

Fortunately there are ways to do this.... more will be revealed - slowly, but shirley. ;)
