well suprnova you've got my attention once again with some of your "opinions". Larry and Jesse played 2 sets on the bar table 5 years ago during the vnea 500 beans each with larry winning both. please tell me you understand that two sets doesn't put larry in a different class when you are speaking about 2 world class bar table players. that's what this thread is about "bar tables" not big tables! to the poster who wondered about larry playing for big $$$. Larry is the most talented player I've ever seen. But something between Larry's ears doesn't allow him to gamble at the same level he plays tournaments. to say the least he is his own worst enemy!. I've been around all of these players and know Jesse and Larry on a personal level so I think my opinions have some validity to them. It is a coin flip when speaking about these players playing on a bar table. they are all capable of putting big packages together.

Thank you for saying what i have been trying to say its a coin flip and bowman and SVB are road players all they do is gamble thats why Bowman is not a pro when he played svb svb wanted to take him with him on the road but bowman just had a little girl he only plays a couple hours a week but still manages to go to the olympia of pool last month and got first out of i believe 200+ players. Not to take away from Larry he has been killing People on tour but for the cheese its a whole nother ballgame what is a 500 dollar set to someone that has been playing those since he was 15

If his temper is as bad as it sounds on here, why would SVB (100lbs soaking wet) want to deal with him? Just because someone doesn't want to gamble with you doesn't mean they are the dog in a match. There are a few guys in my town I could win some money off but I'd have to kill them when it was over so I don't bother with the nuts.
Suprnva, I think you've watched Larry too much. When you see a top player like Larry play all the time you get to see them put huge packages together and perfect play sometimes. You tend to think of that instead of their average play and don't realize if you watched some other top pros play daily you'd see the same things.
BTW, I think one race to 30 is a coin flip in this match but I'd take Shane if I had to bet. If they played 10 race to 30's over a couple weeks I think Shane's consistency would wear him down if he could deal with the fits. One race to 30 really means nothing.

It's a toss up either way. But if you want to give Larry Nevel 10 games going to 30 on the barbox... I'd nearly go broke betting on Larry. They both have MONSTER breaks on the barbox and at their level on the barbox it's who is getting a shot on the break and controlling the table.
I'd love to see this matchup. I'd like to see TAR do a race to 100 on the barbox between Shane & Larry... race to 30 8-ball, race to 30 9-ball, and race to 40 10-ball.

He has been winning many GSBT & the Viking tour barbox events. If Larry can maintain his temperment, I say he takes this match. But it would be tough to bet either way.
