Only one week to go, been waiting 4 months for this thing because of the earthquake.
I'm curious to see if Yukio is able to maintain his high level of play after the big win, this past weekend.
Do you know if it will be live-streamed? If so, please provide link in this thread.
Good luck and good shooting if you play!
Thanks!

That's the player's list. Looks like my first round is at CUE in Shibuya.
By my count there's about 400 players this year. This has to easily be the biggest 2 day tournament in the world.
Are those unusual names, the names of their pool room, pool team or nickname?
I realize this is not a team tournament. Just curious.
thanks,
Joey
The names are split into 2 columns, the left column and middle right column are the names of the players and the column to the right of their names are from the organization, team, or pool hall that they are from. JPBA is the Japanese Professional Billiards association, anyone with that next to their name is a pro.
The separate charts are split by where the player's first round will be played. Also, yellow colored names are Japanese pros, blue colored names are foreign pros, and grey colored names are amateurs.
Here's the list for the women:

yukio is on the list.
watched a match with him against oliver ortmann after seeing him in the finals with alcano...definitely a solid player. when he misses, it's not by very much. and his position play is incredible.
What is the "Red Mountain" thing with Yukio?
Its his last name, Akagariyama. Red mountain is what you get when you take the litteral meaning of his name. It would be like calling a guy named Smith "guy who makes horseshoes".
Thanks so much for posting this link... I'm playing at Monaco out in Kokubunji on Saturday. Good luck to you! What room do you usually play out of?
