I guarantee you Russ no one on here thinks you ever dumped a backer.

Somehow when he was talking about dumping or losing on purpose I don't think he was referring to someone who loses a game on purpose to their girlfriend.

I guarantee you Russ no one on here thinks you ever dumped a backer.

Dumping Question

Now that Walt has left the building.... is this a dump?

You are on the road with your partner and you both enter a tournament at some town. There is a calcutta. For some reason a bidder in the calcutta, who you don't know, bids you up very high. Maybe he thinks you are a great player he remembers from the past. So now this pisses you off and you don't even take half of your calcutta action. But your road partner goes for the minimum in the calcutta, say $10. Ok, tournament proceeds and you end up facing your road partner in the finals. You and your partner have first and second tournament money locked up. But there's still the calcutta money, which is a lot of money.

Now, if you lose on purpose to get 1st place calcutta money, would you consider this a dump?

Yup.. Besides, if the dude has any clue you dumped the match on purpose, then you could still end up the same way...

Kilt. :D

What's wrong with always playing to win? I know, I know.. It's allllll about the money. SIGH.
