If you locked all the best players in the world up in a poolroom and each one had 50k in a month who has the cash? Take into account game making along with talent pool room would have all size tables including a snooker table and 3c table. Im curious who some of the forum members think gets the cash. Years past someone like cornbread would be a logical choice how about today?

Each player will only play the games in which they excel, so this isn't really framed as an all-around talent question.

For example, if Orcullo stuck to rotation games, he'd be my choice.

... but if we're talking about all around, guys like Shane, Alex, and Darren might get the nod from me over Dennis. If 14.1 is included, tough to leave out the guy who has won prestigious titles in 14.1, one pocket and nine ball, meaning John Schmidt.

This choice is not easy given the way you've framed the question.

The best player rarely gets all the money. They usually end up busted in fact.

Question was who would get all the money. That would be the smartest guy, best hustler of the crew, who matched up the best.

It has got to be Dennis orcullo

no chance, his one hole game isnt very good. when he gets outside the balls game over, when he is squeezed he has problems.

Right now SVB might get the cash, his bank game is under rated, his one hole is solid and with his break 10 ball is almost a lock(he will wear down anyone with that break after a few hours). He also has a high level of fitness and can play very long sessions, he started working out at the gym and it shows. his 8 ball game is solid.

Another guy who might get there is Scott Frost, dont count him out, i seen him and SVB on the barbox one night for 4-5 hours and it was even, Scott has a king kong strong onehole game. He dont rattle for the cash.

If 3C is put into the mix, then Efren is a contender, at his age he might wear down but he is good for 12 hours at a time still. and plays ALL games well(like I really needed to mention that). Last time I watch him play a couple months ago, he looked good as ever. He never had a areal consistent break in 9B-if he has a weakness its that. I have seen his break working very good but not consistent like SVB. If SVB was breaking for Efren nobody in the world has ever playe that level of rotation games IMO.

If Mike Siegal was 15 years younger he might get there too, Nick Varner as well.

I'm rambling and thinking as I type, but today, right now SVB or Scott. SVB is a -120 favorite to +100 over scott, close as you can get on a 20 cent line. thats my thoughts. with all cue sports included.

all games included as fatboy states, I think ALEX is a stone cold lock.

playing 8/9 ball, banks, one hole,3 cushion, straight pool, snooker. Thats all games and I doubt anyone could touch him.

Billy Cardone might get all the cash, wouldnt be the first time:grin-square::grin-square:

Since we are all in fantasy land, you could structure it such that each player has to play a match a day, or they lose 10k and it goes to those who played that day.

I'm kinda with you on this....especially if it's their own cash.
I think it would be Shane and Alex all alone at the end.....
...and the game would be straight-pool or one-pocket.
Alex doesn't have to like it at 9 or 10-ball...
..and Shane for sure won't like it at snooker.
Maybe the tie-breaker could be 3-cushion...I don't think either would be
very accomplished at that game.

My dark horse would be Blomdahl...they got no chance at 3-cushion....
...and he can run a 100 at snooker and has won 9-ball matches.
Jose Parica could've got there in his prime..and he could shove his chips.

Since we are in fantasy land.....

Wendel Weir when he was about 25 years younger would have hustled the shit out of all the people listed, and he could play ALL the games well.

ya, but he probaly would not have made it into the room. As it says the 50 top players. So if you took the top 20 rotation players, top 15 one pocket/ bank players, and top 15 snooker/3 cushion players you get the top 50.

with that being said Gentile would stand a good chance of leaving with the most money in my opinion, as hes one of the most intelligent.

But the best all around player on the planet in billiards without question is ALEX PAGULAYAN

I don't think anyone would make it out alive!!!

Locking pool players in a room for a month??? 3-4 days is the norm,,after that it is brutal!! LMAO

Sorry ,,I couldn't resist.

Half of them would cut the other half up. And half of them would double dump the others. 1 player never is the only one getting paid in pool. ;)

I agree with Jumpin Joe its rarely the best player who ends up with the cash because one factor that makes them so great is playing tough games the guys that get the cash in the end are the lemon players, prop bettors and great game makers.
