Who is K. Juszczyszyn?

"Yuhsh-zin"? Yes?

Youse Te Shin.

Jus shut it in

You are missing a syllable. I can't figure out how to write it phonetically.

Yushs is good for the Jusz part and zin is good for the szyn at the end. The tricky part is the czy in the middle, and there really is not an analog sound in English for that that I am aware of.

Gotta love a name with more z's than vowels. LOL

Main page of AZ....Juszczyszyn is pronounced "yuse-CHIS-chin".....
...CHIS is capitalized to denote the accented syllable.

Got a buddy who's mother speaks fluent Polish....
...but the name confused him...
...he wouldn't touch that pronunciation with a ten-foot Pole

That is pretty Americanized. I had an uncle whole last name was Czanowicki. The Polish pronunciation would be something like Chanovitzki while it was actually pronounced by Americans as Zanowiki.

Yuse is not a great analog for Jusz because it totally looses the whistling z sound (for which english has no equivalent that I know if). chin is not a good analog for szyn, as sz sounds nothing like ch.

I would say that the Main Page is giving an Americanized pronunciation. I am talking about the Polish pronunciation.

Funny thing is, I hardly understand a word of Polish now. But years of singing in the choir at a Polish church in my youth forced me to learn how to pronounce Polish words.

FWIW and back on topic, I was in Poland this past summer for a couple of weeks an only saw one pool table the whole time - in a hotel. But I wasn't really looking for them or for outlets to play pool or billiards. The brand name on the table was Aristokrat. Anyone ever heard of this? I wondered, at the time, whether this was a Polish brand or some other European brand.

Someone please tell me how to pronounce his last name lol

I have a friend from Poland who speaks Polish from birth...she said that his name is a tongue twister even for a Polish speaking person.

I've heard the pronunciation is "You-cision", like decision.

Idk though.
