Who is playin in the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour Amateur National Championships ?

The Viking Cue "Amateur" 9-Ball Tour is please to announce the dates for our 2008 "Amateur National Championships".

You talk we listen: After months of talking to players about dates and formats the Viking Tour has decided that based on our Amateur players needs we can not hold just 1 big event. Several factors played into the decision such as:

* Our amateur Players have jobs and are not able to take 3-4 days off work during the week to attend 1 big event.

* Many of our Amateur players can not commit to just 1 particular weekend due to work schedules.

* Lodging, meals, travel can not be justified for 1 chance at winning a tournament that may take 4-5 days to complete.

As a result of the above factors combined with many others the Viking Tour "AMATEUR" Nationals will be divided up into 5 separate events each with $2,500 added and held only on weekends. (Saturday & Sunday). This guarantees the Viking Tour members 5 individual chances on varied weekends to participate in this events with a minimal amount of expenses.

The events will be held in two different locations. Each location is a larger capacity facility which can hold the vast amount of players we are expecting to participate in each event. Each of the five. $2,500 events have GUARANTEED ADDED PRIZE MONEY regardless of the amount of entries received. However, if any of the events receives 128 or more players the Viking Tour will add an additional $1,000 to the prize fund for that event.

August 23-24, 2008 start time is at NOON

Player Auction Starts at Noon, $10 Minimum Bid is Optional by Player
$10 DISCOUNT for All Pool League Players with current league ID
FREE Entry Fee + FREE Tour Card for Non-Pro Women - Prizes won Only
FREE Tour Card for SR Players (age 65+)
FREE Tour Card for all Active or Retired Military
ALL PLAYERS MUST BE AGE 18 or OVER to enter either location.
All (Non-Pro) Viking Ladies Tour players that paid for a Tour Card on the Viking Ladies Tour will receive FREE Entries to these events and win full prize money when you cash. Other lady players that take advantage of the FREE Entry program will win products only

All Viking Cue Amateur Tour Cards purchased since December 2006 are still valid. If you played in any of our Amateur events since December 2006 and purchased a Viking Cue Amateur Tour card you are eligible to participate in these events.

Non-Viking Tour Member players will have to purchase a full tour card to participate in these Championship events.

Thanks Matt, I am glad you are coming. Hows the Wifey / Tell Liz I said hey.

Speaking of Liz. All these events is a row are going to be quite tiring. You know theres nothing like fresh roasted coffee in the mornings or through the day to help me stay awake for the events...........

Maybe we could get oh, say Starbucks's Coffee as a sponsor ?

If I had a few more trial samples of their product I might be encouraged to call them, again ???????? :cool:

I can't buy the gas to drive that far Easye why are all the tournaments next door to Mikie's house. Try and plan one in NC or upstate SC Mike and I'll borrow the money to come play and bring Ed with me.

That can be the undercard believe me cause I have seen the front heavy front runners in action in Hickory, do you think Scoot can put the hick in Hickory or the gas in Gastonia.--Leonard
