Watching the brackets, Ryan Lane has won some pretty tough matches but I can't find any mention of him on AZBilliards or Fargorate.

Could he be kin to the famous Dick Lane. Anyone know anything about him.

That's Ryan that works at Shooters. We all know him then, didn't know his last name. Nice win beating Sky. Definitely wasn't supposed to win that but good deal. Truck should have answered that !! Oh well he's working Ryan might be the best in town now iDK since most of us grew out of pool or quit....

Neither of these two had any business playing in the semi's on the winners side in the Texas Open. Just give it to Morra and JJ now. Needed earplugs because of the endless chatter coming out of the booth, although Norm would say something noteworthy periodically. This maybe harsh but its true. Edit..... devin poteet plays better than I thought. 19 yrs old

Here is a clue for you. James Davis Sr. has beat some of the top players in the world in previous tournaments. Finishes in the money most times at the Texas Open. At 62 or 63 he is still tough to beat but Morra seemed to have his number this time.

I agree! Bastrop Sr is a machine. One of the most consistent players you will ever meet.
His bad days are probably 5% or less, than his very best days. Never match up with that guy thinking he is off his game!!

Definitely some good matches recently beating Sky and Alex Calderon in the Open and James Davis Sr in the warmup event.

I had forgotten about Alex, I am very impressed with Ryan's play. The best showing out of Waco since Leroy took 2nd to Tony Watson 15 years ago.and yes we all know who Bastrop is.....
