Who is the best young gun in Georgia under 20?

What happened in the auction Lamar? Who all did you bid on and who cashed for you in the one hole, 8 ball, and nine ball? I know you did well in all three events but I don't know any details.

Hey Sammy,
Hope you are doing O.K.
As for the auction, I'll show initials of players I had in each event & finish position. Please advise any initials you do not
know. I will at that time advise name.
1-Pocket: (4 players)
L.N.-1st, S.P.-2nd, C.B.-5/6th & I.R.-bad luck. The following week finished 3rd in Los Vegas at the 1-Pocket
World Championship event.
8-Ball: (6 players)
J.H.-3rd, J.S.-4th. S.M., B.W., R.W. & W.C.-bad luck.
9-Ball: (5 players)

Well I know you profited from the auctions because you ended up getting first and second in the one pocket and 9 ball. Also, you had a couple of people that cashed 3, 4, and 5/6 which had to cover the losses from the people who didn't cash. That's real impressive Lamar! I don't think I've ever heard of someone doing so well without buying a whole bunch of players, which you didn't do. You just made very good picks for each event. Good job Lamar.

Hey Sam were you at the VNEA junior nationals? Every hear of a kid named Ryan Stone from Ohio?

No I've never played in the VNEA tournament. I've heard about it but that's about it. I don't like junior tournaments myself. I've played in the Junior Nationals a couple years ago and placed tied for 9th. There is no money in them. Not to mention the competition is tough for playing for basically pride. That name Ryan Stone sounds familiar but I don't believe that I have ever ran across him or played him. I haven't really traveled north. If he has came down here in Atlanta than I may know him. I know Chris Bartrum and Tommy Stevenson from Ohio to name a couple but they're not junior players.

I played league with Tommy, his Dad Wade, Frank Ruby, Joe Brown and others. That was the year Tommy took 3rd in 9ball at the Derby City Classic. I remember him practicing before and after league. We would watch him, pick his brain on what why and where. He was mostly a quiet guy, pretty likeable.

I know this isn't the Southeast up here in Ohio, but if you've met Chris and Tommy you never know who else might just cross your path in this game. Ryan's pretty good and he's got a little gamble. But I have'nt seen him in a while don't know what he's up to for the past 5 months. He's merely an aquintance (as they all are.) They play at Airway Billiards most nights as that is where the best talent is here in Dayton. Also Lizzy Lovely is a 12 year old girl who holds her own as well. Google thier names to find out more, hell heres a link for ya:

I played this one kid from I believe Ohio or Chicago, IL. We played some cheap $50 sets and I won $100 and he quit. I don't know if this is the same kid but he played pretty good. He had a little gamble but this kid didn't want to bet anything too big.

Just Lucky

Next time I see him I'll ask more detailed questions to see if he was the one or not. I haven't spoke with him in a while. I spoke with his cousin and he said the tournament that I usually see him at might be the same night he now plays poker. So...take care, heal up and God bless

Hell yeah that's the best saying in gambling! It's very much true though LOL! Yeah you cleaned up in that auction Lamar! You can buy yourself a new Cadillac after that one!!!

I'm doing okay I guess Lamar. My leg is going to take forever to heal. I've got an appointment to see my orthopedric doctor to take some more xrays and to check everything out. I hope I don't have to get anymore surgeries. Those things are scary to think about.

How's the pool world been lately? Any action out or just the same ol $20 sets LOL?

Yeah I played this kid in Marietta Georgia at the pool room. So that's all you'll have to ask.

I think I stole Dawson's action last night. He *****ed, I laughed, all's good. =P
We even drove out to KB to see if anything went on and it was dead. One table, two guys playing besides that nothing was going on. Me and Matt are gonna head up to Duluth tonight to see if there's anything going on. We always need a good stakehorse big sammy.

It was nice seeing you again on ur feet!

Take care buddy!

Hey Sammy,
Let me know out come of your appointment.
All I ask is keep your head straight.
Good luck & I wish you the best.

As for the action, Same O, Same O.

After your post that I'm responding to, I saw a post from a friend of yours that refered to going to KB.
If the 2 guys playing he refered to were playing on one of the 4 tables on the left side of the bar & maybe 1 was wearing a cap. BEWARE, He's a road player. His main game is playing one handed one-pocket.
I'll send you a pm to advise his name.

Oh okay I know who you're talking about. Randy Jones told me about him being in town the other day. Get me a spot and you can wheel me around in my wheelchair. We can win some good cash. Maybe I can make a dent in $60,000 worth of medical bills! Just joking Lamar!
