Ron Haley is one of the best cuemakers on the planet!. His work is flawless and his veneers are incredible. Not to mention that they hit like a monster. Unfortunately he only makes a few cues a year. Get one. You won't regret it.

how many does he make a year? and why, if you know. it's not cuz he's lazy is it?,,,,,or that he works on extended cuemaker time? :):):):)

Not lazy. Like me he is in the metal fab biz and spends most of his time making a living. He does some of the finest veneer work that I have ever seen.

BTW I had totaly forgoten about the project I was working on for you. The new baby went to priority number one and I droped the ball on a few cue related things. If you still need help email me.

The metal fab he is in is on a much larger scale. I hope to maybe work for him next summer as my major is Metallurgical Engineering. And his work is amazing.

yes murray.i didn't want to bother you because you were doing it out of kindness. can't remember the weights though. i think i needed a .25 an .5 oz weight bolt? i'll have to get back to you. thanks

Ron Haley was (and continues to be) my cuemaking mentor and hero. When ever i think I "have arrived" as a cuemaker Ron will stop in and blow me away with his latest work.

Just wanted to thank everyone for sucking me back into this cue addiction.
Spoke with Ron the other night and he is a fantastic guy.

So now it will be Mike Webb, Sugartree, and Ron Haley...God this gets expensive :D

I fully expect my Webb to be my full time player but after looking at the work these guys put out I just had to get in while I can.

I do not know where to begin when it comes to Ron and his cues. Ron is one of the nicest people I have ever met, and his cuemaking skills are second to none IMO. Ron makes around 16 cues or so per year. I have attched a pic of two cues he is working on for me currently. One is a Rosewood on Rosewood, and the other is Ebony into BEM. Both will have Ron's silver stitch ringwork and ivory joints. The Rosewood cue will be a players cue with an Ivory Hoppe ring and lizard wrap. The Ebony/BEM will have mitered veneer Ivory boxes with engraving in the butt sleeve, and a 5 Ivory inlay pattern in each point. It will also have an Elephant Ear wrap. I can't wait to get them.

Beauties. I especially like the ebony.

what's haley's background in in cuemaking, ie,,,woods etc etc?

I spoke with him the other night and he let me know that in the beginning he spent quite a bit of time with Jerry Franklin. I'm not sure but you may want to give him a call. He really is a great guy to talk to.

Also his email is: haleycues@shilohsteel.com
