Who is winning in the IPT finals?

I remember Efren playing the Miz on semi-finals at the World 8 back '95 I believe at the Riviera. Miz got to the table twice. Once when Efren missed an easy 8 ball.:D
6-0 for Efren. It got so bad, the Miz while on his seat watching Efren run a 3 pack on him says to the audience, " I'm playing bad.":D
Good story Joey! lol :p

Efren won the second rack too. Looks like this is going be over before 3:30 est. It would be somewhat of a downer for Mike if Efren just ran every rack and didnt let him on the table the second set.

Do you think?

That Sigel will be back in the future when he has to
play a WHOLE tournament?

I definely think not playing in the preliminary eliminations didn't help Mike. Imagine walking into the finals of an event like this, tournament cold, facing the hottest player of the event. Daunting task. Especially if you get off to a slow start.

I was there and for sure he plays 8-ball about as good as it can be played. Ralf Souque (sp) plays like that as well, he gets out almost every time he comes to the table.

I'm actually concerned for Mike. This could be one of those traumatic, career defining moments...

The guy has won everything there was to be won, and I hope he won't give up on his return to the game because of this. Perhaps I'm exagerating... AND I SURELY HOPE SO.

Excellent question Scott. I too wonder if Sigel will enter the remaining tournaments. He was gifted into these big 'finals' with significant guaranteed prizes, and in the more significant match has shown so far that he is unable to compete. Will his ego be able to take such a beating, especially if the second set against Efren turns out like the first ? My guess is that he goes into the announcers booth for the 'open' events, and that he gets some additional favours in any 'invitational' events. I say that because the wretched performance Mike is havign today reflects poorly on Kevin Trudeau who hypes Mike as the greatest of all time.

Dave

Well, he won rack 5 so maybe there is some hope for him after all.

Woah! 4-3 now! Maybe Mike's cornerman really IS Jesus.

Why are people counting Sigel out so soon? The match isn't over. Don't question the heart of a champion, and both players are champions. Look at what Efren did to Strickland in the first COM after he was down so much. The match isn't over until the final 8ball drops. Sure i'm rooting for Efren cuz i'm an Efren fan, but we're talking about Mike Sigel as his opponent. Sigel can easily put together 10 or so straight racks in a heart beat. Same can be said about Efren if he's in a similar hole. Just wait for the final 8 to drop, then post what you think.

I'm really happy that Efren is kicking his butt, I hope it stays that way. Mike doesn't deserve to be playing for King of the Hill. Mike and the way he got to play in the final is a complete joke. As far as I'm concerned, I hope this is his last showing in any final.

KT's decision to hit as many birds with one stone. All this is just to set a starting point for the tour.

Well, good morning Mike! About time you woke up!!

hasn't been an update on the IPT site since 4-3. are they taking a break or are they just not posting updates?
never mind. 5-3 now.

If it wasn't for Mike being KT's teacher and now good friend I doubt any of
of this would be taking place. I'am sure he bent KT's ear about the state of
men's pro billiards, and was a major influence in every aspect of whats going
on here,from using 8-ball-slow cloth-hof players.
THANKS MIKE!!!! Hope he wins a few more games
