Who is your favorite player and why?

I always liked watching Rodney Morris, for his fast & loose stye. Even when you knew the pressure had to be on, he shot like a guy just out having a few brews & playing pool with friends.
Alas, you don't see that in these days of a robotic style with all the European talent looking alike in stroke...(edit) I know...it's done that way because it's the best way to play with the best chance of winning...but the question is who you enjoy watching the most, not who I think plays best.
So today? Probably enjoy watching Skyler Woodward the most.

I really enjoy watching Melling in those UK 8-ball leagues. It seems like he's always pulling off some hero runout.
SVB for me. I love his incredible break, long flowing stroke, pace of play, closed bridge off the rail. Just a really complete player and all class.
Before I ever attended live events and only watched on ESPN this is the late 90s early 00s, I liked watching Stefano Pelinga a trick shot artist.
After I became a live pool spectator, Capt Hook, The Pearl, and Iceman. They have a strong presence.
After the Emily interviews Shaw and He showed great character. The career of a pool player is full of travel and road life.

Melling is definitely fun to watch. McCready, when he was in gear was a treat.

I'm a little torn here, because there are two categories of player that tend to attract me:
If I'm looking for the ones who make the most impressive decisions, give me Filler, Orcullo, and Pagulayan. They walk in the footsteps of Reyes and Varner.
If I'm looking for free and easy players, give me Shaw, SVB and Zielinski. They walk in the footsteps of Sigel, Hall, Bustamante, Archer and Strickland.
Yes, I have many favorites.

Efren. He's magic, he's humble, he does it at the top level for decades. Second place would need a telescope to see him.

All the European robots with professionally coached mechanics are absolutely boing to me. It was entertaining to watch St. Louie Louie, Jimmy Reid, and of course Floyd and McCready for entertainment value. On a more serious note, Mosconi Caras, the few times I got to see them.

My favorite two are Earl and Roberto Gomez. Earl is fun because of his bantor with the audience and talks to himself a lot. Roberto has a nice sense of humor and very good player.
