I have acquired "dipper's" maple box case possibly from the 60s inscribed with the name "dipper"? Came from an Estate auction on the east coast. Anyone recognize it?

Brass nailed and cornered. Full brass gate hinge. Two brass latches and handle. Black felt lining! " Case had 1 pioneer chalk (snooker" and 2 master pre-flag chalks.

It is an interesting find, and was something I had to buy to appreciate the work.

I plan to restore it a bit and change the name/plaque.

I have no idea who made it, but I think it was homemade as the hardware is normal hardware store stuff and the tacks are not all centered like they would be a production manufactured case. It is a beautiful case and I hope you bring back pictures once you restore it.

Thanks for the input.

I think you are likely right that this is a good homemade box case. But I thought it was worth posting to see if I could find any new info out about it.
