Who made these old cues?

Can anyone help identify these two cues?
What I know is there is a label that says "Cues by Himes" on each butt.
They came in a case with Masters, pre flag, chalk which might help date them.
They have a very similar joint to my older Meucci. The shaft is similar to the Meucci shaft except the ferrule is shorter.
There are no decals.

I got these from a guy in Florida, if that helps at all.

I would not argue that but wouldn't the Chinese imports be production cues?
These seem pretty well built, (and well played). They feel much more solid than the cheap chinese imports I've seen in the past. For them to be as straight as they are, considering the age, makes me wonder as well.

I'm wondering if they are worth refinishing? One is straight as an arrow. The other has less than 1/16 deflection.

Yes they would be production cues.
Production cues can't be well built?

Many people think that all Chinese cues are like the ones you got from K-Mart that fell apart the first time you used them.

There are experienced cue dealers who have sworn that a particular cue couldn't be Chinese...yet it was. Happens pretty regularly from what I have seen.

Worth refinishing? That's really up to you.

For some reason I can't see the pictures of them anymore.
