Who Made this Cue... Bushka style cue for sale!!

The cue is a 1970 top of the line Adam cue. See their 1970 catalog in Blue Book or Billiard Encyclopedia. I found the exact cue in one of those two books. I informed the seller of this and he did not put my comments on his info where he put other questions. The pictures were taken so as not to show the rings which would have proven it not to be a Bushka. I left town for a couple of days and did not see how the auction came out. My guess is top bid should have been $600 or so and it was already up to over $900 when I left. Someone thought they were stealing a Bushka is my guess.

Chris,

It got up to about $1600 before E-Bay pulled the auction. It was canceled, most likely due to fraud.

I too wondered if it were an Adam cue altered to look like a Palmer or a Paradise. I carefully checked the photos against the Bluebook. Both Adam models that are similar have slightly different MOP layouts compared to the cue pictured. I am pretty sure it was a Palmer, but one with added inlays.

Find Adam catalog that says 1970 on it and the far cue on the right had every inlay in the same place as far as I could tell and I looked at it pretty close. Later pictures had slightly different versions of that model. He may have been convinced it was a bushka and pulled it himself as that is a bushka knockoff.

The cue in the adam catalog has different forearm inlays. Add that to I have never seen a titlist Adam cue. It has always been my understanding that Adam had been making all their own cues completely since day one.
