who made this cue

A friend has a cue with JP on the butt cap. The joint screw appears to be 5/16-14 and is sharply pointed. The shaft has a brass insert.

I am guessing Pechauer but not sure.

Any info??? I don't have a picture.

That could also be a Porper.

Some of Joe Porpers cues had a funny looking tapered type joint. I can't remember what he called it, but I think the screw itself got kind of wider at the bottom.

If it has a joint like that, I'd wager it is a Porper, because I know he also marked a JP on his buttcaps.

Nice cue if that's what it is!
