Who makes the best balls ?

Ooops...he got banned for some reason...but I too thought the statement in bold was true until Cornerman educated me to the contrary on another forum.

The Aramith Pro, Premium and Premier sets use different resins.
Not sure what resin is used with the Centennials but it would have to be on par with the Super Pros.
More on Centennial Sets Here

I've been in the billiards business since '95 and have never heard of Aramith ball sets referred to as "first" or "second" quality.
Buying from a reputable dealer should assure you're getting the genuine product.

Revival of a 2 yr old thread?

On a par certainly...but the same? I don't know one way or the other.

I haven't either but may have bought 10 sets of balls in my life so I am no expert.

I think there is continuous interest in ball quality and playing characteristics and new people come to the game constantly so reviving this thread is fine with me.

My issue with the poster was that the PROCESSES are not the same between the Super Pro and the Centennial line.

I would guess Brunswick has certain specifications they want built into the Centennial set.
Personally don't see any significant difference in the playablity between Centennials and Super Pros so I think
it becomes a design preference when choosing between the 2 for a purchase. Both are top shelf choices.

Along the same lines I suppose one could ask which cloth was better -
Brunswick Centennial or Championship Tour Edition
Most folks don't know they're the same cloth but one has teflon added.

I see a lot of these "which is best" threads.
Fortunately there are a lot of really good billiard products available so it seems "the best" is always a matter of opinion.
