Who makes the best linen wrap?

I think a lot of people would agree. I always wondered how that started. Who one day says, I think I will put finish over the wrap. I don't know if I ever read anything by Bob Meucci that explained it.
Maybe Mr. Meucci just wanted to offer something different?

Could be, the look of a wrapped cue with the feel of a no wrap cue. The odd part is not offering just a wrapped cue as part of the line. I have rewrapped quite a few Meucci cues and found weird stuff hidden under the wraps.

It would add to his sales if he offered standard wrapped cues.

It would add to his sales! But middleofnowhere what did you find under his wraps!? Sounds intriguing....
At some point they must have been experimenting with weighting systems. A number of cues I found multiple holes drilled through the cue filled with small slugs of about half inch threaded rod screwed in and then the rest of the hole filled in with like a Bondo. I saw a lot of those.

I only saw one like this, under the wrap there was slots routed in that had steel in them and again covered over with Bondo which I'm assuming was also a weighting system. For the most part I found a lot of really bad wrap stock maple that probably no cue maker would use hidden under the wrap.

I started checking them even if I wasn't rewrapping using a magnetic stud finder. Lots of those midway in the wrap the stud finder be jumping around there's some kind of steel under there you'd find it in different places.

Isnt North Demon Cues out of china?? Havent held or shot with one but the comments I have read it seems they are very very well made.
He is - I just ordered a cue from him. His work looks incredible. If you look at North Demon's post history, Bill S. seemed particularly impressed with the work and his shop setup.
