I read all of the threads here in this forum and once in a while I chirp in with my two cents if I can be tasteful in doing so. Anyhow, once in a while I step out of line and here might be one of those times.
Seems to me that someone recently posted a message about asking Fran Crimi for an autograph and she stuck her nose up at him. I don't know who it was, but I am assuming that whoever you are you can play a little bit. My question to you is, after she turned her back on you, why didn't you offer her the 7 out and tell her she can bet what she wants?
When I was a younger aspiring player, I saw her playing on ESPN and for the first time in my adolescent years wondered to myself, "Why couldn't I be a woman? At least I could play pool on ESPN." Here I am almost 20 years later, 5 speeds better than I was then, and still nowhere close to being able to play pool on ESPN without a sex change.
At least today there are a handful of women to lend credability to the women's tour.
Was my post rude? Well you have to look at it relatively. Compared to the shitslinging by the folks that recently got thrown off, no. Compared to Fran Crimi, of all people, not signing an autograph for a fan that actually wanted one, not in the slightest bit.
