Who wins? Bartrum or Lassiter?

IMHO, a true guage of a players greatness,in any sport,is how they're thought of and judged ,long after they've left us,when their careers are looked at,in retospect.Lassiters holds up well in all aspects.World champion in several disiplines, and a gentleman.A legend.Like Mosconi,Crane,Greenleaf etc.Maybe someday, todays great players will be thought of in the same way.It would be intersting to see them all compete ,all things being equal.I think todays GREAT players would hold their own.Great talent is great talent .

In these debates, I should always choose the departed as the best. That way, I can rest easy, knowing nobody can ever prove my position wrong.

I just figured it was about as legit as who would win, Keith in his prime or Bartrum.

By the way, since Mr. Lassiter is no longer with us, I'm gonna take Chris. But, in the ol' days........
we said in his prime keith would win
but now i would win read up

Chris may be a good player today at long sets but the older players were used to those. Many of the sets played were "ahead" and "freeze out". Quitting winner wasnt the norm.

Lassiter would have to have been in a wheelchair for Chris to have a chance of even playing him even.
your a sucker
why dont we play

I only want to say that CB has got it LAID DOWN real good when everyone on the board has him so under rated. He ought to be able milk internet-made matchups for years to come.......... :-)

He will gamble though so bring your nuts.

i never said i am the best
so this poll is dumb
im not even close to these guys i know that
Chris, nobody quoted you as saying you're the best. This thread was really in jest. I did it because I get tired of hearing about who's the best this and that. It's different if both people are playing pool. But, when one isn't even playing, the question doesn't even make sense. I just think it's amazing how much attention all of this has gotten. Just funny, that's all.

I even picked you as of right now. I do believe that if Keith could play for a couple of months straight, he could hang.
